Scott Leaves Texas A&M
Texas A&M senior guard Larry Scott was dismissed from the basketball team Friday for academic reasons. Coach Melvin Watkins said it became apparent Scott couldn't continue to progress academically. The 6-foot-6 Scott, of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., played in 73 games - starting 19 - in his three seasons with the Aggies. He averaged 4.3 points last season.
