Kansas Hires Ritch Price As Baseball Coach
The University of Kansas hired Ritch Price as its
baseball coach on Monday. Price coached the past eight seasons at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He
replaces Bobby Randall, who resigned in May after six years at Kansas. Price "is committed to building a top 25 baseball program," Kansas
athletic director Al Bohl said. "He will emphasize excellence in both
athletics and academics." Price's career head coaching record is 501-403-1. He was the conference
coach of the year six times, at Menlo College, De Anza Community College, and
Cal Poly.
